Mini Stargazer 3-in-1 pack - binocular astronomy guide book, large fold-out star map, and Planisphere star and constellation finder. all for just 109 kr.

This great Binocular astronomy, Planisphere, and map set comprises three of Philip's most acclaimed astronomy products introducing binocular astronomy and the wonders of the night sky that will give explorers young and old a great start in the fascinating pursuit of astronomy.

The book set comprises:

Stargazing with Binoculars by Robin Scagell & David Frydman.

This is a perfect book for the complete novice observer. Written in a clear and lucid style it assumes nothing on the part of the reader, providing guidance on setting up binoculars and using them to discover the night sky for the first time. There are useful sections ranging from learning the sky to what's in the sky month by month. A perfect introduction to astronomy with binoculars. The book goes on to look at how to find objects and the use of binocular mountings.

Planisphere star and constellation finder. Just about every astronomer in the UK has one of these clever little gadgets, it measures just 127mm (5") and is the ideal pocket companion.

A practical and convenient hour-by-hour tracker of the stars and constellations. This invaluable tool has informed and educated generations of astronomers - (I have a battered and abused one that dates from the early 1970s and it still gets regular use).

Made of sturdy plastic with "reminder" instructions printed on the rear - the Planishere is supplied in a plastic storage wallet. Simple to follow but detailed tutorial with full colour photos and graphics is included in the guide book.

Quick and easy to use, the great strength of the Planishere is that it can be used outside and direct comparisons can be made holding the Planisphere up agaist the sky to identify stars and other targets. Ideal for identifying constellations and the best time to observe any target in the night sky.

Star Chart: the stars of the night sky in three superb large format colour maps: the two hemispheres and the equatorial region. Stars visible with the naked eye are shown, with fainter bodies marked for observers with binoculars or small telescopes. The text explains how to locate stars all through the year, from any latitude. This full sized poster map measures 1000mm x 690mm.

A great guide book and tool set for binocular explorers of all ages!
