This useful finder has two position brightness control and can be used for day and night-time observing. In action, the finder makes a simple red dot appear as though superimposed on the target (it doesn't actually project the image of the red dot on the target, it just looks like it does!).

The finder is supplied with battery (battery replacement CR2032) and can be attached to any spotting scope via the tripod fitting point.

Spotting scopes are a great way to get into basic astronomy, but they suffer from the important drawback of having no finder to allow targets to be found when there is no obvious frame of reference. This can make finding a target very difficult and tedious. The Universal spotting scope finder by ScopeTeknix cures this problem perfectly. It fits any spotting scope with a tripod fitting point. Once the bracket is fitted (either to the right or left side of the scope - you choose) it replaces the tripod fitting hole with two new ones so that the scope can still be fitted to a tripod as usual. The red dot finder can be removed from the fitting bracket for storage if required.
